Since 1962 EXTRACT Dongen B.V. is an importer and supplier of tannins for the leather industry. Vegetable tannins, also called extracts, are extracted by the manufacturers from plant- and tree parts and often treated with chemicals to improve some features like colour and solubility. They are then evaporated to liquid, solid or powdered extracts. Each type of tannin has his own characteristic like colour, fill, flexibility, etc.
